The accommodation comprises...

Ground Floor :

Two lounges, superb kitchen with fridge, electric cooker, a separate dining room, a rear (laundry) room with its own exit (for preparation for hiking, storing boots, anoraks etc.). There is a small TV set.

First Floor :

Large bathroom, three double bedrooms and one twin bedroom. The accommodation can sleep up to nine people (the twin room also has one single bunk bed). There is a shower/ wc in the attic.

The accommodation has oil central heating and fuel is provided for the fires at no extra charge, when available. The property is fully furnished and all cutlery and kitchen utensils are provided. Duvets and pillows are provided; it is only necessary to bring your own sheets, pillowslips and towels.

Rainors Cottage Suite

For our prospective guests who would like to be a little more independent, we have recently renovated part of the main house to incorporate Rainors Cottage Suite.  Available for short breaks, week stays or more, Rainors Cottage Suite will sleep four comfortably in one double room with a “Super” kingsize bed, a twin room with two single beds and there is room for an extra two guests to sleep in a double sofa bed in the lounge area.  The Cottage Suite is centrally heated throughout, has a bathroom with bath, shower and toilet, a fully functional Quaker style kitchen, workspace area for laptop etc. and to keep all that holiday laundry from invading your space there is a separate utility/drying room with washing machine very close by.  The Cottage Suite has glorious views of the spectacular Wasdale landscape and a patio area to sit out and admire the views.  Parking and safe storage for bikes etc.

The Screes Apartment Self Catering, Greendale, Wasdale

Delightful self-catering holiday apartment, within the beautiful Lake District National Park , 1/4 mile from Wast Water lake. Set against the dramatic backdrop of England's tallest mountain and deepest lake, Wasdale captures the true essence of unspoilt Cumbria.

The property is a ground floor two bedroom apartment (sleeps 4).  It is part of a former barn dating back to the seventeenth century, recently converted to a very high standard.  Nestled between Buckbarrow, Greendale Gill, and the dramatic Screes, it offers stunning views all around.

Little Ground House is a large Victorian house, built for a “Statesman Farmer” after the adjoining cottage and barn became too small for his family.

It has magnificent views towards the Wastwater Screes and views up the valley to Scafell and Great Gable.

Equidistant from the village of Gosforth and the head of the valley, it is ideally placed to explore the delights of the Western Lakes by car or the Wasdale valley on foot. Wasdale Yurt Holiday

For the first time in the Wasdale Valley you will be able to experience a luxury camping holiday in a yurt.  Situated in the paddock at Rainors Farm B&B overlooking the Wasdale valley towards Scafell Pike and the Scafell Massif, the yurt will sleep a maximum of five people with soft, cosy, ethnic-style furnishings.  Not only will you have the luxury of a woodburning stove to keep you warm at night (and constant hot water for tea) you will be served breakfast in the house in your own dining room, have your own toilet and shower close by and wake up to the most spectacular views.  The Wasdale Yurt Holiday is great for families and friends and with its' romantic ambience is equally good for couples, honeymooners and anyone in need of some "yurt therapy".
